The Five Doctors and The Lazarus Experiment. It's as simple as that. This is a no frills episode, just two reviews. No Sherlock, no Star Trek, not even a Babylon 5 mention. OK, maybe a little bit Sherlock, but only because Mark Gatiss is in Lazarus.
Have fun, and don't forget to pop over to iTunes and leave us a rating or review. Thanks!

Episode 17: Roranicus Pondicus
Rory. Roman Rory. Plastic Man! We talk about Auton Rory this week. How did the Nestene Consciousness put real Rory's mind and soul into an Auton? How did Rory remember being an Auton after the universe reboots? How brilliant is Rory, anyway? All these questions and more are answered on this edition of The Sonic Toolbox!
Also, a review of the final episode of this year's "Sherlock".
WARNING: This episode includes lots of rabbit chasing.

Episode 16: The Case of the Missing Science
Doctor Who and Sherlock Holmes. Could there ever be a better team up? Of course, they'd drive each other crazy. And speaking of crazy, we review "The End of the World", the second episode of New Who. Good starter episode, but we find that it rather falls down when it comes to the science, even within the DW universe.
We also review the next episode of SHERLOCK, "The Hounds of Baskerville". Check out the link below to the original story "The Hound of the Baskervilles". It's one of Arthur Conan Doyle's best.

Episode 15: A Scandal in E-Space
Holmes and Who. What a wonderful combination. In this episode of The Sonic Toolbox, Cheryl and Daisy review (read: gush over) the new episode of Sherlock, "A Scandal in Belgravia". Written by Steven Moffat, we feel that's enough of a tie-in to Doctor Who to allow us to review it here.
In our science section, we explain E-space and aggravate Cheryl because we have wound up venturing into quantum territory again. And fractals.

Episode 14: The Trees are Alive with the Sound of Christmas
Happy New Year everyone! We end 2011 and start 2012 with a review of this Christmas' special "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe". This year Moffat gave us a rather dark story, but with some fantastic references to past Doctor Who episodes both Classic and New.
We have to apologize right from the start. There is some misinformed science in this one. Both of us were hoodwinked by the old trope that you explode when exposed to a vacuum in space. WRONG! I have some links to websites that will give you the true story here in the show notes. But it does seem that a Time Lord could survive in space in just his Tweed jacket and trousers for long enough to don a space suit.
Sorry this one runs a bit long, but consider it a holiday special!
